Cyber safety made easy for children
Today, my column is going to focus on cyber security for children. This is no small task, as it is not necessarily easy to explain cyber security to children.
But thanks to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) blog, it shows it in a simple and fun way. For once it's NOT COMPLIED with the government.
After you finish reading, I strongly encourage you to check out the Think Cybersecurity website. It's a great resource that covers the various topics covered in this blog while providing kids with fun activities to fight the cyber villain Viro!
Here are some of them:
-Phishing
-Malware
-Ransomware
-Account security
-Connecting to networks
In conclusion, it is not easy to explain cybersecurity to adults, imagine it to children.
By simplifying the message and using examples they can easily understand, you are helping your children to protect themselves online. And once they understand phishing, malware, and account and network security, they'll quickly become the cyber security experts in the house!
