Travel Insurance

We often hear horror stories about people who have had problems while travelling without TRAVEL INSURANCE. They have to ask their friends or family members for help. Either to pay for their medical expenses or for the plane ticket home. This could happen to you even if you go to New York State for a few hours. Travelling without travel insurance can have very serious financial consequences.

The protections offered by the travel insurance cover are:

 - Emergency Medical Insurance;

 - Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance;

 - Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance;

 - Baggage Insurance.

Here is our advice:

-Ask about travel insurance as soon as you think you'll be travelling outside Quebec. Sometimes your group insurance at work or your credit card insurance already provides some travel insurance coverage. You can buy travel insurance from an insurance representative, an insurer, travel agencies and some financial institutions

Take the time to read your contract - it's well worth it.

-If you have any health problems, you should notify your insurer. Any change in medication must be mentioned to your insurer.
